Muhammad Abe is an artist/actor/researcher/producer based in Indonesia with an interest in history, performance studies, knowledge distribution through art, and promoting Indonesian contemporary culture through art. He is now a director of Indonesia Dramatic Reading Festival (IDRF). His experiences include producing Asia Playwrights Meeting 2019 in Indonesia, producing Festival of Indonesian Plays in London, and producing a platform to introduce new Asian plays in Ho Chi Minh. He is also a part of artist collective Gymnastik Emporium. Apart of producing performance, Muhammad Abe also organized the first edition of Indonesian Conference of Performance and Performing Art in 2020.
