Declaring Ownership Through Performativity
Arts and performativity is one of the tools to tell a story. This talk explores the boundaries of the artists' roles, and artistic tools that may not limit the 'artist' as the sole owner of their own story. BIPAM invites the activists from Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand to discuss their individual approach to expression.

Finding History and Meaning in Personal Stories and Possessions
A talk about the artistic process used to study non-mainstream history, a continuation of the performance of “An Imperial Sake Cup and I”. This session is led by Thanavi Chotpradit, curator and art history educator from Thailand, joined by Mark Teh, program curator and co-creator, Sim Chi Yin, Singaporean photographer who documents history through objects, and Charnvit Kasetsiri, a Thai Studies scholar who has been awarded with a Fukuoka Academic Prize 2012, Japan, and with Distinguished Contributions to Asian Studies by the Association for Asian Studies, USA in 2014.
This lecture performance is co-directed by Ka-ge Teerawat Mulvilai (performer, stage), and Nontawat Nambenchapol (video, moving images), script development by Dr. Charnvit Kasetsiri and Jarunun Phantachat.

Out of the Capital: Contemporary Art Movements outside Bangkok
When basic infrastructure is focused mainly on major cities, creating a successful space for the arts in other cities, in order to decrease social disparity and provide better access to contemporary art, becomes a topic of our interest. We explore the means to decentralize and open up new spaces, yet preserve the uniqueness of the locale, through art platform models that are being established outside of Bangkok. Joining the discussion are the pioneers of LOEI Art Fes, Khon Kaen Manifesto, and PaPhayom Community Theatre from Pattalung.
