About the speakers
Pasakorn Intoo-Marn
received B.A. in Drama from Thammasat University, Thailand, M.A. in Theatre and Film Studies from the University of New South Wales, Australia and Ph.D. in Population Education from Mahidol University, Thailand. His areas of interest include Theatre Studies, Theatre and Gender, and Theatre and Politics. Currently he is Head of Drama Department, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Thammasat University, and a writer of Drama Stage column, Art Square magazine of the Office of Contemporary Arts and Culture, Ministry of Culture.

จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีจากสาขาวิชาการละคอน คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ปริญญาโทสาขา Theatre and Film Studies จาก University of New South Wales ประเทศออสเตรเลีย ปริญญาโทสาขา International Rural Development จาก Lincoln University ประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ และปริญญาเอกสาขาประชากรศึกษา จากมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เขาเป็นผู้มีความสนใจเรื่องการละคอนศึกษา (Theatre Studies) ละคอนในมิติเพศสภาวะ และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างละคอนกับการเมือง ปัจจุบันเขาเป็นหัวหน้าสาขาวิชาการละคอน คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และเป็นนักเขียนประจำคอลัมน์ Drama Stage ในนิตยสาร Art Square ของสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม

Pachaya Akkapram
is a full-time lecturer of Performing Arts Program in the Division of Music and Performing Arts, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. He is a researcher of Sinsai Dekthevada-Khon Kaen University: training life skills and self-understanding through making puppet performance (2016-2019) and Sudsanan-Sawatthee (2018-2019). His works focus on creating contemporary performance with artists, young people, villagers and local arts in ISAN community. He works with university, schools in ISAN, countryside villages and ISAN arts and culture networks, and his work always use the concepts of Applied Drama/Theatre together with community arts and culture.
พชญ อัคพราหมณ์
เป็นอาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรศิลปะการแสดง สาขาวิชาดนตรีและการแสดง คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เป็นนักวิจัยในโครงการ สินไซเด็กเทวดา-มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น: ฝึกทักษะชีวิตและความเข้าใจตนผ่านการสร้างสรรค์การแสดงหุ่นร่วมสมัย (2559-2562) และ สุดสะแนน-สาวะถีฯ (2561-2562) เขามีความสนใจในการสร้างสรรค์การแสดงร่วมสมัยกับศิลปิน เยาวชน ชาวบ้าน และศิลปะท้องถิ่นในชุมชนภาคอีสาน นอกจากนี้เขายังทำงานร่วมกับมหาวิทยาลัย โรงเรียน ชุมชน และเครือข่ายทางด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมในภาคอีสานอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งงานของเขามักจะใช้แนวคิดของละครประยุกต์ร่วมกับศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมในชุมชนเสมอ
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parichat Jungwiwattanaporn (Moderator)
is a former Dean of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, and currently an Assistant Professor at Thammasat University, Thailand. After spending over 16 years studying theatre arts and working in the USA, she returned to Thailand with expertise in both academic and artistic areas in theatre. As a researcher in theatre history and contemporary theatre in Thailand, she is well-known for her participation in “Criticism as an Intellectual Force in Contemporary Society” research project (1998-2012), in which theory and criticism of various arts forms in Thailand (theater, film, music, dance, and visual arts) intersects with a multidisciplinary theoretical framework (aesthetics, philosophy, and anthropology). In 2018, she completed the initial phase of a longitudinal research “Contemporary Theatre and Performance for Social Change in ASEAN: Case Studies”. Parichat’s academic interests include political theater/performance, theater/performance for social change, and contemporary theater/performance in Asia. Her publications include three co-authored books and two books on Thai contemporary theater and criticism as well as a number of articles.
As a theatre artist, she has written, directed, and produced many theatre productions both in Thailand and the USA. She has received ZONY Award (USA) for her playwriting and directing of The Ramayana, and a recognition award from University Interscholastic League (USA) for her productions of Blue Collars Blues, and The Runner Stumbles. Her other productions include The Voyage (2017), Once Upon a Time Not Long Ago (2012), Amadeus (1996), PimPiLaLai พิมพิลาไลย (1995), Les Miserables (1993), Who Says I can’t Drink (1992), Wiley and the Hairy Man (1992), The Good Doctor (1991), และ A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1991).
Since 2016, Parichat has been elected as Chair of the Alliance of Performing Arts in Higher Education of Thailand (PATH), the only platform in Thailand where the Performing Arts personnel from different universities collectively work towards excellence in scholarship and artistic innovations.
