ชมรมวิจารณ์ศิลปะการแสดง (International Association of Theatre Critics – Thailand Centre) ร่วมกับ Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM) ขอเชิญผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมอบรมการเขียนวิจารณ์ละครเวที โดยนักวิจารณ์ละครเวทีมืออาชีพที่มีประสบการณ์มากกว่า 10 ปี ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้ชมการแสดงสองชิ้นในงาน BIPAM เพื่อนำมาถกเถียงและเขียนงานวิจารณ์ ผู้เข้าร่วมจะต้องเขียนงาน 1 ชิ้น (เกี่ยวกับการแสดง 1 เรื่องหรือ 2 เรื่องก็ได้) และจะได้ฝึกวิธีการมองและวิเคราะห์งานเขียนของผู้เข้าอบรมท่านอื่น ไปพร้อมกับได้รับคำวิจารณ์งานเขียนจากนักวิจารณ์ละครเวทีมืออาชีพ
งานเขียนของท่านมีโอกาสได้รับการตีพิมพ์ใน The Momentum*

15.00 – 18.00 น.: พูดคุยเรื่องการแสดง ทำแบบฝึกหัดการเขียน เพื่อเตรียมเขียนงาน ฝึกวิเคราะห์งานเขียนผู้อื่น
20.00 – 21.30 น.: ชมการแสดงโดยคณะ Billinger & Schulz เรื่อง “Violent Event” (ประเทศเยอรมนี) ที่โรงละคร Host Bangkok (ชั้น 4 ภัตตาคารจันทร์เพ็ญ พระราม 4)

15.00 – 18.00 น.: ผู้เข้าอบรมส่งงานเพื่อทำ Writing Workshop (งานทุกชิ้นจะได้ฟีดแบ็กจากทั้งผู้เข้าอบรมและผู้ฝึกอบรม)
18.00 – 19.00 น.: Q & A กับนักวิจารณ์มืออาชีพจากชมรมวิจารณ์ศิลปะการแสดง
คุณสมบัติผู้เข้าร่วม
มีประสบการณ์ด้านการเขียน สื่อ หรือการสื่อสารด้านอื่นๆ
มีความสนใจด้านศิลปะ โดยเฉพาะศิลปะการแสดง และเคยดูละครเวทีหรือศิลปะการแสดงแขนงอื่นๆ มาแล้วบ้าง
มีจิตใจที่เปิดกว้างรับฟังความเห็นของผู้อื่นเกี่ยวกับงานศิลปะและงานเขียนของตัวเอง

*งานเขียนจะได้รับการตีพิมพ์ต่อเมื่อผู้ฝึกอบรมเห็นว่างานเขียนนั้นมีคุณภาพเหมาะสมกับการที่จะได้รับการตีพิมพ์เท่านั้น โดยผู้ฝึกอบรมจะเลือกงานเพียง 1 ชิ้นเท่านั้นสำหรับการตีพิมพ์
**สำหรับการสมัคร สามารถส่งงานเขียนด้านศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม สังคม หรือการเมืองก็ได้ โดยงานเขียนที่ส่งมาไม่จำเป็นต้องได้รับการตีพิมพ์มาก่อน

นักวิจารณ์ภาพยนตร์ ดนตรี ละครเวที และอาจารย์พิเศษด้านภาพยนตร์ เริ่มมีผลงานตีพิมพ์ในนิตยสาร BIOSCOPE ตั้งแต่ปี 2548 ได้รางวัลชมเชย การประกวดบทวิจารณ์ภาพยนตร์และละครดีเด่น กองทุนหม่อมหลวงบุญเหลือ เทพยสุวรรณ ประจำปี 2553 ปัจจุบันมีงานเขียนที่ BIOSCOPE, The Momentum, Voice Online, The 101 World, Sanook และพ็อกเก็ตบุ๊คกับสำนักพิมพ์ Salmon Books
อมิธา อัมระนันทน์
นักเขียน นักแปล และครูสอนภาษาและการเขียน ปัจจุบันเป็นนักวิจารณ์ละครเวทีให้กับหนังสือพิมพ์ Bangkok Post และเป็นอาจารย์พิเศษด้านการเขียนที่หลักสูตรนานาชาติ คณะนิเทศศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เธอเป็นสมาชิกคณะกรรมการฝ่ายศิลป์ของ Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM) และกำลังอยู่ระหว่างการสร้างพอดแคสต์เกี่ยวกับวงการศิลปะการแสดงในกรุงเทพ

How to See, How to Question, How to Write

The International Association of Theatre Critics – Thailand Centre (IATC Thailand), in conjunction with the Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM), invites writers and performing arts enthusiasts to take part in a theatre criticism workshop, conducted by two professional Thai theatre critics with more than 10 years of experience. Participants will have an opportunity to attend two performances in BIPAM to write a review (of one or both shows) and learn to analyze and workshop others’ works. Every review will be critiqued by both the participants and the professional critics. Your writing may be selected for publication at “The Momentum,” a leading Thai-language lifestyle and culture website. *
Price: 3,500 baht (3,000 baht with BIPAM pass)

Friday, October 18
3–6 PM: Introduction to performing arts reviews: what to ask, what to research, and how to prepare
7–8 PM: Attend “Damage Joy” by B-Floor Theatre at Studio (Thailand) at Studio 4, Floor 4, BACC
Saturday, October 19
3–6 PM: Discuss “Damage Joy,” writing exercises, and how to analyze and critique others’ works
8–9:30 PM: Attend “Violent Event ˟” by Billinger & Schulz (Germany) at Host Bangkok, Floor 4, Chandrphen restaurant, Rama IV Road
Sunday, October 20
3–6 PM: Participants submit their reviews, feedback session by participants and workshop leaders
6–7 PM: Q&A with theatre critics from IATC Thailand
Qualifications
Participants must
Have some prior writing, media, and/or communication-related experience
Have an interest in the arts, especially the performing arts
Have an open mind and be willing to have their work critiqued by others

*Your review will be published only if the workshop leaders consider it to be of acceptable quality for professional publications. Only one review will be selected.
**For the application, you can send a writing sample on arts and culture, social, and political issues. Your writing sample can be published or unpublished.
About the workshop leaders / theatre critics
Amitha Amranand is a writer, translator, and language and writing teacher. She has been a theatre critic for the “Bangkok Post” since 2006 and teaches journalistic writing at the International Program, Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University. She currently sits on the artistic committee of the Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM) and is in the process of creating a bilingual podcast on the Bangkok performing arts scene.
Kanchat Rangseekansong is an award-winning film, music, and theatre critic. He teaches film at various universities and has been writing for “Bioscope” film magazine since 2005. His writing has appeared in “The Momentum,” “Voice Online,” “The 101 World,” and “Sanook.” Kanchat has authored nine books on travel, pop culture, and his teaching experience.
