Born in Manatuto in 1992, Zezinha Piedade is one of the few female visual artists in Timor-Leste. As a vocalist of a metal band called Lowbatt, she has performed at Road to Metalfest, Cronifect, Mega Amplification, and Fete de la musique in Dili. As a singer, she has collaborated with artists in many events, including Noise, Asia TOPA HuRU-hARa Festival, and Goathead. She is also running an all-female art collective called Buibere nia RISKA. Buibere nia RISKA members believe that visual art is the perfect tool to express women's freedom and celebrate women. Her solo exhibitions include an exhibition of her paintings in August 2018 in her hometown of Manatuto and in July 2020 in Dili. She is still single and works as a freelancer and mostly stays in Dili.
